Saudi health undersecretary announces Saudi Arabia coronavirus free

Cairo, capitals, February 27, 2020, SPA -- Speaking on the sidelines of the Arab Health Ministers 53rd session held in Cairo today, Dr. Hani bin Abdulaziz Jokhdar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who leads his country's delegation to the meeting, announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is coronavirus free as the health authorities have taken all precautionary and preventive measures to block the leak of the disease into the country, describing the situation inside as stable and that Saudi inlets are strictly checking incomers to verify nobody is carrying the virus. On the other hand a number of countries, organizations and senior diplomats lauded Saudi Arabia's recently-announced decision to suspend the entry to the country of Umrah-visa holders for their safety as well as that of the people inside the Kingdom. Among them were the Egyptian Minister of Endowments Dr. Mukhtar Jumaa; Jordanian spokesman of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Sanctuaries Affairs Husam Al-Hayara; the Speaker of the Arab Parliament Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami; and the Ambassador of Djibouti to the Kingdom Diauldin Bamakhrama, who is also dean of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom. --SPA 23:33 LOCAL TIME 20:33 GMT 0029 www.spa.gov.sa/w1275884
