Minister in Charge of Media virtually Meets with Local Newspapers' Opinion Writers

Riyadh, Jul 5, 2020, SPA -- Minister in Charge of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qassabi met virtually today with over hundred, males as well as females opinion writers, via visual communication. Al-Qassabi commenced the conversation, conveying greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense to the writers, and their great appreciation of the role the writers play as well as wishing them all success. Then he talked about the variables and reforms witnessed in all walks of life, in the Kingdom, noting the significance of the great role and responsibility on the shoulders of the press writers, males and females, in promoting the culture in the society and raising its awareness, tackling issues of interest of the readership as well as abiding by the objective, constructive and meaningful criticism to bring about the public interest. Minister and writers' conversation concluded in importance of forming mutual working teams, from the writers and the ministry to act on different tracks, including setting forth strategies, plans to improve performance, introducing creative notions, reactivated communication and relationship among the ministry and the writers and contributing in presenting internationally-oriented media initiatives.
