Baghdad, Jan 8, 2020, SPA -- Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned here today the Ambassador of Iran to tell him that Baghdad rejects his country's transgressions, represented by the missile attacks on Iraqi camps, as they breach Iraq's sovereignty. The ministry stated, in a press statement, that "as it rejects such acts, it calls all parties concerned for restraint and work towards easing of tension, in the region and not to turn Iraq into a battle ground to settle others' scores." The statement stressed that Iraq is an independent country and that its internal security is a top priority and utmost interest and "we will not allow it to descend into a battle ground or turning its territories into a place to be used to inflict harm on the neighboring countries." --SPA 21:37 LOCAL TIME 18:37 GMT 0026 www.spa.gov.sa/w1243206
