KSA to Host Sustainable Maritime Development Conference in Partnership with International Maritime Organization

Riyadh, November 04, 2019, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host tomorrow a three-day international conference entitled "Sustainable Maritime Development towards 2030 and beyond" to be organized by the Public Transport Authority in partnership with the International Maritime Organization (IMO), at the Hilton Hotel in Jeddah. The conference will be held in the presence of the President of the Public Transport Authority, Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih, the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Kitack Lim, members and partners of the organization, international leaders concerned with the development of this giant industry, and leaders of the maritime sectors in the Kingdom. The conference, which will be held for the first time in the Kingdom, includes specialized sessions and workshops, with the participation of international and local speakers. On this occasion, the President of the Public Transport Authority, Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih, stressed that the unlimited support of the wise leadership for the transport industry in general, and maritime transport in particular, had the greatest impact in enhancing the Kingdom's leading position on the international scene, where the Kingdom is now ranked 23rd globally among 174 member countries.
