Meeting in Cairo Cairo, Oct. 12, 2019, SPA -- The Arab Foreign Ministers held here today a closed consultative meeting confined to the ministers and heads of participating Arab delegation, chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq Mohammad Ali Al-Hakim, ahead of the emergency meeting of the Arab League at the ministerial level to discuss the Turkish aggression on Syria. The Saudi delegation to the meeting was headed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Member of the Council of Ministers Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir. The emergency Arab ministerial meeting comes at the request of Egypt and the support of several countries to discuss the Turkish aggression in Syria. The Arab League has condemned the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory, stressing in a previous statement that it threatens to ignite further conflicts in eastern and northern Syria, and may allow the restoration of the terrorist organization Daesh. --SPA 14:52 LOCAL TIME 11:52 GMT 0009 www.spa.gov.sa/w1189118
