New York, Sep. 29, 2019, SPA -- Mohammad Al-Hadhrami, Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs, praised the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in providing assistance to Yemen, citing its provision of half a billion dollars to support the 2019 response plan, in addition to humanitarian assistance to Yemenis throughout the country, and direct support for the state treasury to prevent the collapse of the national currency, and bank guarantees for food commodities, as well as the allocation of $ 60 million per month to support the financing of electricity networks. In a speech during the deliberations of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Al-Hadhrami expressed his government's appreciation of the role of donors and brothers, who stood with Yemen in time of hardship and contributed to alleviate the burden of the crisis. Al-Hadhrami stressed that "Iran and its military proxies in our Arab region, including the Houthis and Hezbollah, pose a serious threat to our national security", adding that Iran is a state that does not respect international law or its obligations as a member state of the United Nations. --SPA 22:39 LOCAL TIME 19:39 GMT 0019 www.spa.gov.sa/w1181408
