Governor of Makkah Region Praises Efforts of Participants in Hajj

Mina, Saudi Arabia, Aug. 13, 2019, SPA -- Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region who is also Head of the Central Hajj Committee, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, for their supervision of the services extended by the authorities to pilgrims, making this year's event a great success. In a press conference here today to mark the end of Hajj, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal said all Saudi citizens are proud of the capabilities made available at the expense of pilgrims. The Governor of Makkah Region thanked the local and foreign media representatives for attending this great occasion and for their efforts in this year's Hajj season. He said that the number of pilgrims this year reached 2,489,406 pilgrims, including 1,855,027 coming from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and 634,379 from inside the Kingdom. He added that the number of pilgrims who have regular Hajj permit reached 336,000.
