UN Approves Four Resolutions by KSA on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice

Vienna, May 26, 2019, SPA -- The United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice has concluded its 28th session here and unanimously approved the resolutions co-submitted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with other countries on countering child sexual exploitation and sexual abuse online, providing technical assistance for implementing international agreements and protocols related to counter-terrorism, promoting technical assistance and capacity-building to strengthen national measures and international cooperation to combat cybercrime, and the preparations for the Fourteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. In the closing session, the head of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delegation, Advisor at the Ministry of Interior and Director General of Legal Affairs and International Cooperation in the Ministry, Dr. Abdullah bin Fakhri Al-Ansari delivered a speech in which he affirmed that terrorism is a major threat to the international peace and security and undermines the fundamental values of the United Nations.
