Brasilia, February 03, 2019, SPA -- The number of people killed by a toxic mudslide triggered by the collapse of a dam at an iron ore mine in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais has risen to 121, dpa reported. Some 226 others remain missing, news portal G1 reported , citing the local fire brigade. The dam at the Corrego do Feijao mine, operated by Brazil's Vale near the town of Brumadinho, collapsed on January 25, sending a slow-moving tsunami of toxic sludge and mud over parts of the mining site and surrounding areas. A total of 12 million cubic metres of sludge inundated roads and homes, spilling over an area of approximately 290 hectares.
