Jeddah, Ramadan 29, 1438, June 24, 2017, SPA -- The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the terrorist plot to target the Grand Mosque in Makkah. OIC Secretary General, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, commended the alertness of the Saudi security men who foiled and countered this terrorist operation. He stated that those who planned and supported the operation were implementing a sinister plan that sought to undermine security and stability in the Kingdom. Al-Othaimeen added that no true Muslim would violate the sacredness of the Holy Mosque, particularly at the end of the blessed month of Ramadan. Al-Othaimeen expressed his confidence in the ability of the relevant Saudi authorities to apprehend the culprits, bring them to justice and expose their affiliations and sponsors. The Secretary General reiterated the full solidarity of the OIC with the leadership, government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all steps and measures taken to combat terrorism targeting its security and stability.
