Jeddah, Sha'ban, 28 1438,May 24, 2017, SPA -- The OIC General Secretariat, in coordination with the Republic of Turkey, the President of the fifth session of the Islamic Conference of Health Ministers, organized a week-long coordination meeting on the sidelines of the 70th session of the World Health Assembly, held in Geneva on 22 May 2017, in the presence of senior officials from Member States. On behalf of the OIC Secretary-General, Dr. Yousif bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, the Permanent Observer of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to the United Nations in Geneva Nassima Bagli, highlighted the organization's programs and activities, noting that the organization has become an important partner in health initiatives at the international level. For his part, the representative of Turkey, Director General of the European Union and Foreign Affairs in the Turkish Ministry of Health, Dr. Onar Gunnar, praised the OIC General Secretariat for adopting this important initiative, stressing the importance of this gathering in providing the OIC Member States with the opportunity to form the health agenda And influence it.
