Paris, Rabi'II 15, 1438, Jan 13, 2017, SPA -- A fierce wind storm that struck France late Thursday and early Friday knocked out power for more than 330,000 people, electricity provider Enedis said. According to dpa, crews were working to repairs lines, after raging winds knocked out lines especially in the north and the west of the country, Enedis said. The regions of Normandy and Picardy were particularly hit. One woman was killed by a falling branch in the department of Alpes-Maritimes, regional newspaper Ouest France reported. A train en route from Brussels to Paris was delayed by 10 hours due to damage caused by a falling tree, a spokesman for rail provider SNCF said.
