Health Ministry completes projects for expanding intensive care units in health facilities in Kingdom

Riyadh, 19 Rabi'I,1438 AH, 18 December,2016 , SPA -- The Ministry of Health has pointed out that it completed during this year 2016 many projects for the expansion and development of intensive care systems (modular) with the opening of intensive care units for newborns and children hospital in Najran with 42 beds, intensive care at King Khaled hospital in Najran 38 beds, intensive care of newborns and children hospital in Arar 42 beds, intensive care for newborns and children hospital in Abha 52 beds, in addition to the completion of the first phase of the development of intensive care units at King Fahd Hospital in Madinah including 34 beds out of a total 67 beds, and the first phase of the expansion and development of intensive care newborn and children Hospital in Dammam 46 beds out of a total of 104 beds. The first phase of the expansion and development of intensive care units included newborns, Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Hail 34 beds out of a total 62 beds, and at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Buraidah 25 beds out of a total 32 beds, in addition to newborns and children Hospital in Buraidah 82 beds. It noted that the initiatives coincided with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program where the Health Ministry is seeking through these projects to improve health services, raise efficiency and performance in health facilities and exploit all possibilities available to provide health care for citizens. -- SPA 16:05 LOCAL TIME 13:05 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w292981
