Jakarta, 19 Rabi'I,1438 AH, 18 December,2016 , SPA -- An Indonesian military plane crashed as it was about to land Sunday morning at Wamena airport in the easternmost province of Papua, killing all 13 military personnel on board, defence officials said, according to dpa. Deputy air force chief of staff Hadiyan Sumintaatmadja told a press conference that the Hercules C-130 plane was seen on the radar at 6:08 am (1508 GMT) it was about to land but disappeared from the radar moments later. It was scheduled to land at 6:13 am. "Our preliminary presumption is that the crash was caused by the weather. It was cloudy in Wamena and the airstrip was foggy. There's also the possibility that it crashed into the mountain," he said. "The crash happened as the plane was about to land," he added. -- SPA 14:28 LOCAL TIME 11:28 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w292900
