Riyadh, Jumada II 25, 1437, April 03, 2016, SPA -- The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Press Agency (SPA) chaired at his office here today the 8th meeting of the Board in the presence of its members. At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Altoraifi delivered a speech in which he welcomed all, hoping that the Board s meetings result in the Agency s progress and development. The President of Saudi Press Agency and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein briefed the Board on the most important achievements during the last period and reviewed the agenda. The Board discussed topics on its agenda and took a number of decisions, where it approved the entry of the Saudi Press Agency as a partner with Radio and Television Commission in the establishment of Al-Ikhbariyah Channel Company according to the procedures and regulations. The Board approved SPA s closing account for the fiscal year 1436/1437 AH and authorized the SPA President or his deputy to complete the discussion between the SPA and a number of regional and international news agencies, and sign memorandums of cooperation with them.
