Sofia, Shawwal 08, 1436, July 24, 2015, SPA -- Bulgaria on Thursday mobilized firefighters and soldiers to contain wildfires in the south-east, where a state of emergency was declared, according to dpa. Strong winds and high temperatures have hampered efforts to contain the fires, which have spread over an area of 350 hectares, including woodlands. A state of emergency has been declared in the area of Harmanli, which lies about 260 kilometres south-east of Sofia.
