Riyadh, Ramadan 04, 1436, June 21, 2015, SPA -- King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid launched a new phase of its plans to alleviate the effects of overcrowding crisis at Al-Wadiah port which has affected thousands of women, children and the elderly, as part of its efforts to aid Yemeni stranded brothers. Official spokesman for King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid Raafat Al-Sabbagh explained that this phase includes the distribution of 8 thousand hot meals a day, divided into Iftar and Suhor, at a rate of 3 thousand meals on the Saudi side of the port, and a similar amount in the central area of the port, in addition to one thousand hot meals daily on the Yemeni side of the port. In a press statement today, Al-Sabbagh said that the first stages of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid plans to help the stranded at Al-Wadiah port, included the distribution of 50 thousand ready meals, in addition to 400 thousand pieces of bread, and more than 100 thousand of healthy water bottles, and in a later stage 30 thousand meals, 60 thousand health water bottles were distributed.
