Paris, Sha'ban 8, 1436, May 26, 2015, SPA -- France's lower house of Parliament approved a bill Tuesday aimed at drastically reducing the country's carbon emissions, as well as its reliance on nuclear energy, as Paris prepares to host a world summit on climate change in December, dpa reported. The bill aims to reduce France's carbon emissions by 40 per cent by 2030, when compared to 1990 levels, and caps nuclear's share of French energy production at 50 per cent by 2025. The country currently gets 75 per cent of its electricity from nuclear sources. -- SPA 22:10 LOCAL TIME 19:10 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
