Riyadh, Rajab 29, 1436, May 18, 2015, SPA -- Saudi Geological Survey announced here today that it discovered large amounts of (borvorian) copper metal for the first time in Saudi Arabia, in Dwadmi province. The authority said that upon regulations of the Mineral Investment Rule, Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources will reserve the area as a new concession and mineral reservoir for the Kingdom. Commenting on the news in a press statement, Eng. Ali Al-Naimi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, said the new discovery reflects the interest of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to diversify the Saudi economy's resources, expand its activity, provide good investment opportunities to the local and international capital and contribute to offering new jobs and upgrading national cadres. --SPA 20:44 LOCAL TIME 17:44 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
