European Parliament Confirms Support for Legitimacy in Yemen 2

Muscheidt stressed that the European Union understands the stance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards Iran's involvement in the Yemeni crisis, pointing out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is facing a real threat as a result of Iranian interference in Yemen. Muscheidt said that two Iranian warships are currently off the coast of Yemen but have not entered the Yemeni territorial waters, stressing that Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi represents the legitimacy. He also held the Houthis responsible for the deteriorated situation in Yemen. Chair of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with the Gulf countries and Yemen Michele Alliot-Marie stressed the seriousness of Houthi militias practices and their threats to the security of Yemen, the Arab Gulf and the region.
