Rabat, 20 Jumada I 1436 H, March 11, 2015, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is scheduled to host the 14th International Arab Mineral Resources Conference in April 2016, it was announced here today. The announcement was made during the opening of the two-day 21st meeting of the Consultative Committee for Mineral Resources Sector, organized by the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining in collaboration with the Moroccan Ministry for Energy, Minerals, Water and Environment. In a statement to SPA, Eng. Ahmed Fakih, the Director of Technical Projects at the Saudi Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Sources, said that the conference, which will be held under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, aims at enhancing cooperative Arab work in the field of mining, casting light on the mineral materials available in the Arab world and ways of exploiting them.
