Makkah, Jumada I 8, 1436, Feb 27, 2015, SPA -- Upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to benefit from the completed part of late King Abdullah expansion project at the grand mosque, worshippers at the sacred place performed Friday noon public prayer today in the old premises of the mosque in addition to more than 50% of King Abdullah expansion project. Reports from the mosque following the prayer said more than 150,000 worshippers benefited from the added area. Officials also reported that they have equipped the space with 150,000 holy Quran copies, more than 2200 praying carpets, more than 300 Zamzam cold and non-cold water, 16 electric ladders, lightening systems, and 450 toilets, out of them 300 for males and 150 for females. --SPA 23:28 LOCAL TIME 20:28 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
