Snow Storm in Carolinas Leaves 220,000 Without Power

RALEIGH, North Carolina, Jumada I 7, 1436, Feb 26, 2015, SPA -- More than 220,000 homes and businesses in North Carolina and South Carolina were without power Thursday due to a winter storm with high winds that brought down trees and power lines. Duke Energy, the largest utility in the country, said that it had more than 212,000 customers without power in the Carolinas. On its website, Duke said that it was assessing the damage.
