The Council declared its absolute rejection to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. It also rejects all the pressures exerted on the Palestinian leadership in this regard. The Council condemned all the Israeli measures to enshrine the so-called "Jewish state" and warns of danger of this dangerous racial orientation on the Palestinian people and the region, and its consequences. It condemned the Israel's practices and all temporal and spatial division of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Council denounces repeated attacks of Israeli extremists on the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, a move seen as a threat for outbreak of "religious war", more violence and chaos in the region. The Council affirmed rejection and condemnation of the illegitimate Israeli settlement activities, especially in the occupied East Jerusalem, including attempts to Judaize the city and obliterate the historical, cultural, humanitarian aspects to change of its identity. It welcomed the statement issued by the members of the Security Council, including the United States, during the emergency special session held upon the request of Jordan on 29th October to discuss the implications of the Israeli decision to build new settlements in East Jerusalem. The Council stressed to continue the Arab move in all the capitals of the world to support the request of the state of Palestine submitted to the Swiss government as the depositary of the Geneva Four Charters of 1949 to call on the High Contracting Parties to enforce and respect the international conventions in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem, and to provide protection for the Palestinian people. It expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the Arab ministerial delegation headed by Kuwait with the Swiss government to convene an urgent meeting of the High Contracting Parties. --More 22:34 LOCAL TIME 19:34 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
