Berlin, Dhu-AlHijjah 15, 1435, Oct 9, 2014, SPA -- A consignment of 330 kilograms of heroin hidden in glass jars and labelled as pickled gherkins may be the biggest haul of the drug ever seized in Germany, dpa cited police as saying Thursday. The take, with a street value estimated at 50 million euros (63 million dollars), was seized on September 22 after arriving in the western German city of Essen. "No one would have found the heroin if we had not received a tip-off about it," said senior detective Sabine Vogt, who heads the organized crime unit at Germany's federal police.
