Here's the corrected item: Al-Jubeir and his Egyptian counterpart quoted King Salman and President Al-Sisi of Egypt as confirming the depth of historical ties between their two countries Amman, Rajab 1, 1438, Mar 29, 2017, SPA -- Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, foreign minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today disclosed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has invited President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi of Egypt to pay an official visit to the Kingdom in April 2017 to hold talks with him and that President Al-Sisi has accepted the invitation. This came in a press statement delivered by Al-Jubeir following the meeting the two leaders held on the fringes of the Arab summit in Jordan earlier today. In response to a question on the reasons leading to what a journalist described as the cool relations between the Kingdom and Egypt, Al-Jubeir confirmed that King Salman and President Al-Sisi have confirmed, during their meeting, the depth and firmness of the historical ties binding the two countries in all fields. The leader of the Saudi diplomacy drew the attention to the deep roots forming the base for the relation of the two countries, citing family, trade and political ties as well as working side by side in defense of the Arab nation. Al-Jubeir went on to say that the viewpoints of Saudi Arabia and Egypt are identical in all fields as well as towards the crises facing the region, citing the Arab concerns over the hazardous situation originating from Iran's actions and policies, its interference in the domestic affairs of Arab countries, provocation of sectarian sedition, and support for terrorism in the region, considering the accumulation of these policies as hostile. The Saudi foreign minister Al-Jubeir stated that Egypt is among the founding countries of supporting legitimacy in Yemen and among the pioneering countries which established the Islamic Military Alliance to fight terrorism. He explained that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Egyptian President have underscored the importance of this relation and confirmed their wish and plan to work together for enhancing it to better horizons. He described the meeting as fruitful, constructive, amicable and very positive. Asked to show the reasons of delay of implementation of several agreements signed during the previous visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Egypt, Al-Jubeir said that consultation and coordination on those agreements is continuing and that officials in charge of them in both countries are in contract with each other as regards ways of implementation of the agreements. On the difference of viewpoints on the Syrian crisis, Al-Jubeir said "there is an exaggeration of interpreting what is called difference of the Saudi and Egyptian positions as the two countries are seeking to find a political solution to the crisis according to Geneva I declaration, the UN Security Council resolution No. 2254", confirming that the two countries are offering effective contributions within the Group of Supporting of Syria in addition to consultations with other countries to forge a political solution to this crisis. --More 22:43 LOCAL TIME 19:43 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w365336
