Baku, Muharram 8, 1438, Oct 9, 2016, SPA -- In line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as announced by the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action participated, in the works of the fifth Baku international humanitarian forum, recently held on 29-30 September and inaugurated by the Azeri President Ilham Alliyev, in the presence of 420 specialists and experts, in the domain of human affairs, including 10 Nobel Prize winners. The Center delegation to the forum was led by Advisor to the supervisor of the center Dr. Aqeel Al-Ghamdi who emphasized, in a speech at the conference, the importance of participating in such conferences that serve the relief and humanitarian action, presenting the Kingdom's experience in providing relief and humanitarian aid, carried out by the center, through working to provide relief to disaster areas, in Yemen and the world, via air dropping of aid, in places that cannot be accessed, in addition to air bridges, sea borne, and land convoys, launched by the Saudis to their Yemeni brothers, adding that the Kingdom has become the third largest donor, at global level, in terms of the amount of relief, humanitarian and development aid, according to aid provided, during the period between 94-2014, totaling $ 65.9 billion, including giving a hand to Syrian migrants, displaced refugees abroad as well as residents, inside the Kingdom. -- SPA 20:05 LOCAL TIME 17:05 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
