Saudi Arabia has worked to build legal and institutional frameworks to combat trafficking in persons, Saudi Human Rights Commission reports

Riyadh, July 31, 2019, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince, has given great attention to the issue of combating trafficking in human beings through its regulations, international conventions and protocols and the memoranda of cooperation signed with relevant international organizations. The board of Saudi Human Rights emphasized that these efforts have contributed to the establishment of a legal and institutional framework to ensure that all persons are protected from the crime of trafficking in persons without discrimination and to promote the prosecution, conviction and sentencing of offenders and to provide health, psychological and legal assistance to victims.
