Manama, April 23, 2019, SPA -- The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the decision announced by the US Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo, regarding the sanctions on importers of Iranian oil. In a statement issued by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the statement issued by the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that this step is crucial in order to further support and strengthen efforts exerted in combatting terrorism and eradicating Iran’s malign and dangerous activities that aim to undermine security and stability and support terrorist organizations and militias in the region. "Bahrain commends the pivotal role of the United States in its relentless efforts and strategic decisions to eliminate violence, extremism and terrorism, and all those supporting or funding it at the regional and international levels," the ministry said in a statement.
