HRH Crown Prince and Iraqi Prime Minister Hold Official Talks

Riyadh, April 18, 2019, SPA -- His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met at Al-Yamamah Palace here yesterday with Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, they exchanged talks on Saudi-Iraqi relations and a number of bilateral issues of mutual interest. Then, HRH Crown Prince and the Iraqi Prime Minister held a session of official talks in the presence of the delegations of the two countries. At the outset of the session, HRH Crown Prince welcomed the Iraqi Prime Minister in his second country, the Kingdom, commending distinguished relations between the two sisterly countries, while the Iraqi Prime Minister expressed his happiness to visit the Kingdom and meet with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince. During the session, they reviewed bilateral relations, aspects of cooperation between the two sisterly countries, opportunities for their development, latest developments in the region, the efforts of joint cooperation within Saudi-Iraqi Coordinating Council, and further promising opportunities to serve the interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples. The session was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki AlFaisal, Chairman of General Sports Authority; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense; Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf; Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi; Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir; Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid Al-Faleh; Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan; Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri; Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh; and a number of officials.
