London, January 15, 2019, SPA -- British Prime Minister Theresa May has lost a crucial parliamentary vote on the deal she has agreed for Britain to leave the European Union. Lawmakers in the Commons, parliament's main elected house, voted by 432 to 202 against the deal. May had told the lawmakers she believed they had "a duty to deliver on the democratic decision of the British people [in the 2016 Brexit referendum]." "A vote against this deal is a vote for uncertainty, division and the very real risk of no deal or no Brexit at all," she said in her closing address after a five-day debate. --SPA 23:53 LOCAL TIME 20:53 GMT 0028 www.spa.gov.sa/w821137
