Makkah, Jan 11, 2019, SPA -- Umrah weekly-monitoring indicator recorded arrival of 2.3 million people intending to perform the ritual of Umrah, or the minor pilgrimage. On the other hand, the indicator put the number of visas issued at more than 2.7 million. The newly launched indicator, run by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, at the beginning of the new Hijri Year, is based on four main factors: the number of visas issued, the total of arrivals, their number of Umrah performers and visitors, in Makkah and Madinah and the number of those who departed the Kingdom, following performing Umrah. -- SPA 21:43 LOCAL TIME 18:43 GMT 0012 www.spa.gov.sa/w818929
