Riyadh, 20 December 2018 SPA -- The Minister of Media Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad met here today with a high-level media delegation from Indonesia and a number of Islamic countries participating in the activities of Janadriyah 33 Festival. The Minister welcomed members of the delegation, stressing the Kingdom's keenness to enhance strong historical relations, especially in media aspects, and highlight cultural and civilizational aspects. Dr. Al-Awwad pointed to the important role being played by the media in promoting these relations in all their aspects and clarifying the true image of Islam that reflects tolerance and moderation and rejects terrorism and extremism. He explained that the next stage will witness further cooperation in the media and the exchange of delegations between the Kingdom and Arab and Islamic countries. The Minister of Media stressed that Janadriyah Festival is an opportunity to be briefed on all cultural, intellectual and social aspects of the Kingdom, noting that the selection of Indonesia, as the guest of honor of "Janadriyah 33 Festival'' shows the great importance being attached by the leadership to relations with Indonesia in all fields. For their part, the members of the media delegation emphasized their standing with the Kingdom in front of the media unjust attack, pointing out that the Kingdom is the state of peace, security and stability, and has been and still keen to achieve peace in the Middle East region and the world, seek to strengthen moderation and tolerance values, and renounce terrorism and extremism.
