New York, Dec 7, 2018, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and Republic of Yemen have expressed their affirmation that a lasting solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict can only be achieved by peaceful means in accordance with the international law and United Nations resolutions adopted in this regard. This came in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's speech delivered by its Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahiya Al-Mualemi. "In the own name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Yemen, the Israeli occupation must refrain from hostilities and the use of force against the Palestinian people," he said in the Kingdom's speech to the UN General Assembly. He called upon Israel to immediately cease the invalid and illegal policies and practices of building Israeli settlements on the territories of the State of Palestine occupied since 1967. "Our countries stress on the importance of the comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East as a strategic option to end the Arab-Israeli conflict on the basis of a two-state solution in accordance with international terms of reference and the Arab Peace Initiative 2002 requiring the establishment of a Palestinian state on the borders of the 4th June 1967 with Jerusalem as its capital, the return of refugees and the end of the Israeli occupation of all Arab territories, including the Syrian Arab Golan Heights and the Lebanese territories." Ambassador Al-Mualemi further said. --SPA 00:25 LOCAL TIME 21:25 GMT 0016 www.spa.gov.sa/w801425
