Riyadh, Rabi'I 7, 1440, Nov 15, 2018, SPA -- Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, Minister of Media, affirmed today that the statement issued by the Public Prosecution regarding the case of the murder of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi does show the leadership's keenness on achieving justice, clarifying the truth and punishing whoever the culprit. Dr. Al-Awwad stressed that the picture has become clear for whoever seeks the truth and does reflect the Saudi firm approach in maintaining rights. "Achieving justice and maintaining human life are a Saudi approach known by all people living in the Kingdom. In Khashoggi's case which gained international suspicious dimensions, the Kingdom should have to send an important message to the whole world showing part of the Saudi firm pillars in achieving justice and maintaining the human rights which are guaranteed by Sharia (religious law) and regulations of the Kingdom. This country is stable and secure, thanks to Allah Almighty and the keenness of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, on prohibiting assault against the human life. The wise leadership stresses on applying justice firmly against any guilty," Dr. Al-Awwad said. Al-Awwad concluded that the painful details of the Public Prosecution's statement are not familiar to the Saudi government and people, adding that the statement stops some international miserable attempts by some unprofessional parties, people and media outlets to politicize the case while the case is criminal. --SPA 19:57 LOCAL TIME 16:57 GMT 0022 www.spa.gov.sa/w788017
