Jakarta, Muharram 27, 1440, October 07, 2018, SPA -- The death toll from earthquakes and a tsunami that hit Indonesia's Sulawesi island has risen to 1,763, the country's disaster management agency said Sunday, according to dpa. Another estimated 5,000 people from Petobo and Balaroa - two villages where homes were sucked into a sinkhole and mud during the September 28 earthquake - remained unaccounted for, said agency spokesman Sutopo Nugroho. "If they are not found as of October 11, they will be declared missing," he said. The coordinating minister for security, Wiranto, has said that the government is considering converting the two villages into mass graves. --SPA 13:41 LOCAL TIME 10:41 GMT 0009 www.spa.gov.sa/w761983
