Riyadh, Muharram 23, 1440, October 03, 2018, SPA -- President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussain has signed a memorandum of social partnership with the President of the Board of Directors of Masaee Women's Charity Association Layla bint Mishari Al Draihem, within the framework of SPA's role towards social responsibility as a national media agency with a distinguished contributions in all fields, including charitable and voluntarily works in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SPA's President said in a statement after the signing that SPA aims, through this memorandum, to highlight institutional charitable and voluntarily works in the Kingdom and to encourage those responsible for these efforts within the Kingdom's regulations and in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 which emphasizes the importance of enhancing the social impact of the non-profit sector and promote its social contributions. He also said that The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince have made every effort to support charitable institutions in the Kingdom to promote these institutions in society, believing in the importance of these institutions' role in building societies, promoting cooperation and unity between individuals, and achieving a great humanitarian impact on the society, especially young people. SPA's President noted that upon the directives of the Minister of Media and Chairman of SPA Board of Directors Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, SPA is seeking to invest its media expertise, human resources and technical equipment in cooperation with governmental sectors and exchanging experience with them. He pointed out that Masaee Women's Charity Association is one of the registered associations in the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and has great efforts in supporting needy families, through a distinct work system that provides care, support, rehabilitation and training, to be an effective and sustainable force in the society, as SPA will provide support for these works and present them to the society either in the form of news, reports, stories or photos.
