Makkah, Dhu-AlQa'dah 13, 1439, Jul 26, 2018, SPA -- The Muslim World League (MWL) has confirmed that it is the only accredited legal body for exporting Halal to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where a royal decree has been issued limiting Halal certificates to the League for its international relations and expertise in coordination and cooperation with local and international authorities, companies and establishments as well as for its legal and Islamic standards in the production, industry and marketing of Halal food. It also stressed its commitment to the highest standards of legality and controls, as it has recently closed many slaughterhouses and companies that violate Halal slaughtering round the world. The Council of Senior Scholars has issued, by the Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the Chairmanship of the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, a fatwa that the sole body responsible for the slaughtering of Halal imported to the Kingdom is the Muslim World League. --SPA 00:24 LOCAL TIME 21:24 GMT 0036 www.spa.gov.sa/w722448
