Makkah, Ramadan 3, 1439, May 18, 2018, SPA -- General Presidency for the Sacred Grand and the Prophet's Mosques, represented by Suqiya Zamzam, conducted tests to ensure safety of the Zamzam blessed water network. The Director of the Department of Suqiya Zamzam Eng.. Osama Al-Hajili said that during the month of Ramadan, the dept., intensifies sampling of all drink venues, reservoirs and points of permanent packing, at the Grand Mosque, to the rate of 100 samples per day. He pointed out that such tests are conducted to ensure safety and free of microbes and contaminants and to guarantee safe access to the blessed water to visitors and pilgrims as well, in addition to the regular maintenance works, all through the year, especially during the seasons of overcrowded attendance, such as the Hajj, Ramadhan and Umrah. -- SPA 19:40 LOCAL TIME 16:40 GMT 0012 www.spa.gov.sa/w690524
