Riyadh, Rajab 10, 1439, Mar 27, 2018, SPA -- First meeting of the Transport, Border Outlets and Ports Committee, an affiliate of the Saudi Iraqi Coordination Council, concluded in Riyadh today. During the meeting, the minister of transport of the Kingdom Dr. Nabeel bin Mohammed Al-Amoody and Iraqi counterpart Kazem Al-Hamami signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of air transportation. The two sides also agreed to draft an agreement on maritime transportation, lifting of goods along land roads, study the possibility of granting privileged treatment for goods handling between Saudi and Iraqi ports, an agreement on cooperation in the field of transporting passengers and goods along land roads and expediting procedure to execute the memorandum of understanding on customs cooperation. --SPA 19:41 LOCAL TIME 16:41 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w652611
