Ramallah, Rabi'II 9, 1439, Dec 27, 2017, SPA -- The Palestinian Cabinet reaffirmed that "the overwhelming vote of the international community, recently taken place, at the UN General Assembly session, has underscored, unanimously, the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including the right to establish the State of Palestine, within the borders of June 4, 1967. During a weekly session held here today, the cabinet pointed out that the international community has taken the right side of history, honored the status and strength of international law and that the United States, isolated in its stance towards Al-Quds (Jerusalem) has been proven that it will not change the status of Jerusalem, protected by the steadfastness of our people and international law, as well. On the other hand, the cabinet blasted the decision of Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales to transfer his country's embassy to Jerusalem, a step that contravenes the rules and principles of international law, decisions of the international community and the UN resolutions. The cabinet reiterated the call for the international community to assume full responsibility against continued Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people and the wide-scale and escalating Israeli occupation, led by the occupying power on the occupied Palestinian territories, indicating that such atrocities committed against the Palestinians' lives and properties, have been on the rise, since the US decision to recognize Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of Israel and to relocate US embassy to the occupied city. -- SPA 17:35 LOCAL TIME 14:35 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w575032
