Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Selected as Islamic Personality of the Year

Dubai, Ramadan 20, 1438, Jun 15, 2017, SPA -- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was selected as the Islamic Personality of the Year at the 21st Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA). Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, presented the Islamic Personality of the Year Award to King Salman's Representative, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh during an awarding ceremony held here today. The minister praised in a speech the unlimited support given by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to DIHQA to continue its role in promoting Holy Quran memorization among the youth. He also highlighted the great services provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Islam and Muslims, thanking the jury for selecting the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as the Islamic Personality of the Year. Sheikh Ahmed also presented the awards to the top ten winners of this year's edition of DIHQA who came from Bangladesh, the United States, Gambia, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Bahrain, Libya, Kuwait, Mauritania, Rwanda and Egypt.
