Jeddah, Sha'ban 9, 1438, May 5, 2017, SPA -- Kingdom's delegation took part in the meetings of Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions' Parties Conference, concluded in Geneva today. President of the General Authority of Meteorology and Environment Protection Dr. Khalil Al-Thaqafi led the Saudi delegation to the 2-week gathering, in order to bring about closer solidarity, coordination and integration among signatories of the three conventions, named after the respective cities. The Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention (BC COP-13), the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Rotterdam Convention (RC COP-8) and the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention (SC COP-8) was held from 24 April to 5 May 2017, to foster synergies among the three conventions.
