At the outset of the meeting, the Bahraini foreign minister delivered a speech in which he highlighted issues submitted by the ministerial committees representing the agenda of the coming supreme council in various fields. For his part, the GCC secretary general stressed that the GCC foreign ministers discussed a number of issues aiming to enhance the GCC joint action as well as the latest developments at regional and international arenas. Al-Zayani pointed out that the GCC foreign ministers held a meeting with Yemeni foreign minister Abdulmalik Al-Mekhlafi. They discussed the latest political, security and humanitarian situations in Yemen as well as the exerted efforts to reach a political solution in Yemen.
