King Salman relief center extends contract to treat 150 injured at a hospital in Taiz

Riyadh, Safar 09, 1438, November 09, 2016, SPA -- King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works today signed a contract extending the provision of medical services for Al-Braihi international group hospital in Taiz, Yemen, according to which as many as 150 injured would be treated and given the necessary medical services, including surgery operations inside the city. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabee'a, Consultant at the Royal Court and the Supervisor General of the center, signed for the Riyadh-based facility while Dr. Najeeb Al-Braihi, Manager of the hospital, singed for his side in the attendance of Yemen's Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Nasser Baoam, who is also member of the Higher Committee for Relief in Yemen. Following the signing ceremony, Dr. Al-Rabee'a said the service came as implementation of directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to render more care for Yemeni people, noting that the center manages to provide all kinds of medical services to all hospitals and health sectors in Yemen, in collaboration with the Higher Committee for Relief in Yemen, Yemen's ministry of health and population and international organizations and programs implemented by the Center for Curing Abroad Injured Yemenis. Following the signing ceremony, the Yemeni Minister of Health and Population expressed, for his part, thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as the center's staff, led by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabee'a, for the unvalued support rendered by the Saudi side for their Yemeni brethrens, confirming that the Kingdom, and particularly King Salman Center for Relief have been precedent in breaking the siege of Taiz and the delivery of food assistance and medical requirements, appealing to Allah Almighty that Yemen could reciprocate the good deeds of the Kingdom who is always a pioneering donor. --SPA 17:28 LOCAL TIME 14:28 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w266545
