Amsterdam, Muharram 04, 1438, October 05, 2016, SPA -- Ukraine and four Crimean museums were in court Wednesday in Amsterdam in a dispute over the ownership of pieces of art that were part of a 2014 exhibition, dpa reported. While the Ukraine claims the rights of the cultural objects, the ownership has come into question due to the annexation of Crimea by Russia. Prior to the Russian annexation, the museums in 2014 lent to the Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam around 1,000 objects, which included jewels, a golden scabbard and gold sculptures. Kiev, which considers the objects state property, fears that they will be handed over to Russia. The museums for their part stress that the objects were found in the Crimea and belong to their collections. --SPA 17:25 LOCAL TIME 14:25 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
