Conference in Pakistan appreciates efforts of Kingdom in service of pilgrims, Two Holy Mosques

Islamabad, Dhu-AlQa'dah 19, 1437, August 22, 2016, SPA -- An international conference in Pakistan highly appreciated the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in taking care of the Two Holy Mosques and worshippers, serving Islam and Muslims and ensuring unity of Muslims. The conference was organized by the Central Association of Ahl Alhadith on Sunday in the Pakistani capital Islamabad. The conference condemned attempts to politicize the hajj and to use it to offend the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The participants in the conference praised the Islamic alliance to fight terrorism, stressing the importance of collective action to counter terrorism and extremism. The conference was attended by Pakistani Information Minister Senator Pervez Rashid, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Ghannam Ghannam, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Abdullah bin Marzouq Al-Zahrani, Vice President of the Senate of Pakistan, Sheikh Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, heads the Pakistan Muslim societies and a number of ambassadors of Muslim countries. In a speech to the opening, Pakistani Information Minister reiterated the position of his country in support of the kingdom in the face of terrorism and extremism. He strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place next to the Prophet's Mosque in the holy month of Ramadan, saying that it "exceeded all limits," and proved that terrorism is a serious scourge that requires concerted efforts of all in order to eliminate it. For his part, the Chairman of the Central Association of Ahl Alhadith, member of the Pakistani Senate and Chairman of the Conference, Senator Sajid Mir said that the participants in this conference call on the leaders of the Islamic world to address the currents of extremism and sectarian confrontation.
