Jeddah, 29 Shawwal,1437 AH, 03 August,2016 , SPA -- Director General of Branch of Ministry of Labour and Social Development in Makkah region, Abdullah Al-Olayan, held here today a meeting with the Consul General of India in Jeddah, Mohammad Noor Rahman Sheikh and his companions to discuss the situations of Indian laborers affected due to their delayed salaries in one of the big companies in the Governorate of Jeddah. Al-Olayan explained that the Ministry is currently providing facilities for 2500 affected Indian workers, allowing them to transfer their sponsorships, and granting them re-entry visas. For his part, the Indian Consul General said, "The Indian laborers problem reported by Indian media is limited and confined to a single company, and three million Indian workers in the Kingdom enjoy all care and attention," noting that a delegation from the Indian consulate met with officials in the Ministry of Labour showing a rapid response and providing facilities to develop urgent solutions, in addition to providing daily meals by the Branch of Ministry of Labour and Social Development in collaboration with the Indian consulate to the affected workers. -- SPA 12:05 LOCAL TIME 09:05 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
