Saudi female students collect gold, silver, bronze medals at Geneva Innovation Expo

Riyadh, Rajab 11, 1437, Apr 18, 2016, SPA -- A number of Saudi female and male students have collected gold, silver and bronze medals at Geneva International Innovation Expo 2016 for their stunning discoveries in diversified fields, it was reported here today. Students belonging to the Faculty of Engineering of Jeddah King Abdulaziz University have won the prizes in the recently-concluded event in which counterparts from 40 countries took part. They were Noorah bint Ali Al-Marshad, who won the gold and two other prizes for having invented a fire distinguisher powder; Bidoor Al-Ghamdi, Rawan Azeem, Firdoas Sharif, Arwa Faqih, Saja Al-Harbi and Rawan Al-Zahrani who won the gold for a collective patent, producing Peso sensitive plates, Ghaida'a Babihairi, Maria Al-Amri, Amal Isam Al-Deen, Hanan Mubarak, Fatma Bashmakh and Firdoos Sharif were also awarded gold for inventing an elevator that would not respond to outside call if it is full of passengers, thus saves time and effort, Safa'a Hasan Mohammed Guhal won golf for inventing a Cholesterol adjuster and Muhab Hindi (male student) won a silver medal for his invention of diabetics alarm that reads the rates of sugar in blood allowing a diabetic to monitor the high and low fluctuations without using injections or taking sample. --SPA 20:30 LOCAL TIME 17:30 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
