Princess Nouf bint Mohammed: Civil Society Engagement Group Achieves Record Numbers in History of G20

Riyadh, November 16, 2020, SPA -- Princess Nouf bint Mohammed bin Abdullah, Chair of Civil Society Engagement Group (C20) and CEO of King Khalid Foundation confirmed that the C20, under the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's presidency, has set a number of records for the first time in the history of the G20. These records include expanding the number of members to more than 1500 members from 80 countries around the world, increasing the number of working groups to 11 specialized groups, and hosting the largest global gathering of civil society in the history of the G20 through the virtual C20 Summit. The Summit was attended by 40,000 participants from 109 countries worldwide. Princess Nouf bint Mohammed bin Abdullah said, in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the occasion of the Kingdom's presidency and hosting of the G20 leaders' summit, that King Khalid Foundation succeeded this year in creating consensus within the group, where it adopted a package of proposed policies directed at the decision-makers of the G20 countries in addition to issuing the Group's Final Communique. She said that King Khalid Foundation is honored this year to lead the work of the Civil Society Engagement Group (C20), one of the official engagement groups of the G20 presided over by the Kingdom this year.
